Cookies
This Cookie Policy explains how Ström Equestrian uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve how they function, and to provide information to site owners.
How we use cookies
- Essential cookies. Required for the site to work. These remember what is in your cart, keep you signed in, and allow you to move through checkout securely. The site cannot function without them.
- Analytics cookies. Help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are popular, and where people run into trouble, so we can improve it. This includes session recordings and heatmaps (see Microsoft Clarity below).
- Marketing cookies. Used to measure the performance of our advertising and to show you relevant advertising on other platforms.
Services we use
Shopify. Our store is powered by Shopify, which sets the cookies necessary to operate the store and checkout. You can read about these at shopify.com/legal/cookies.
Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity, a behavioural analytics tool provided by Microsoft, to understand how visitors use our site. Clarity sets cookies and collects information about how you interact with our pages, such as clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movements, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and device, browser and approximate location information. We use this to create session recordings and heatmaps so we can find problems and improve the site. Microsoft handles this data in line with the Microsoft Privacy Statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
Meta Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel, a third party marketing technology from Meta Platforms. It sets cookies in your browser to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to build audiences for future advertising.
Meta Conversions API. We also use the Meta Conversions API. This is a server side technology, which means information about actions you take on our site, such as viewing a product or completing a purchase, is sent from our servers directly to Meta rather than from your browser. It is used for the same purposes as the Meta Pixel: advertising measurement and audience building.
Because the Conversions API operates server side, it does not rely on cookies in the way the Pixel does. Blocking cookies in your browser will not by itself prevent this data sharing. For more detail on what is shared and your choices, see our Privacy Policy.
Google. We intend to add a Google tag for advertising measurement and audience building on Google Ads. When active, it will set cookies for those purposes.
Managing cookies
Most browsers accept cookies by default, but you can remove or block them through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may cause parts of this site to stop working correctly, including the cart and checkout.
You can also manage how Meta uses your information for advertising through your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and how Google uses your information through Google's ad settings.
More information
For details on how we handle your personal information more broadly, including what we share with advertising partners, see our Privacy Policy.
